SUBJECT: LM Week and Test Prep

Howdy Folks!

Lower Merion (LM) Week is the homecoming of the ages and this year is no different!

  • The daily themes:
    • Monday 10/27: USA Day

    • Tuesday 10/28: Bikers vs. Surfers

    • Wednesday 10/29: Country vs. Country Club

    • Thursday 10/30: Throwback Thursday

    • Friday 10/31: Rally Day

  • Events:
    • 10/30 RHS LM Bonfire 6:30 - 7:45 PM
    • 10/31 RHS LM Pep Rally 1:30 - 3:10 PM
    • 11/1 RHS Radnor/Lower Merion Football Game 2 - 5:30 PM; RHS LM Dance 7 - 10 PM

Come by the PTO table as you enter the game! You can say hi and make a donation to our primary initiative - supporting our students, teachers and staff. Your donation is tax deductible. Every donation makes a difference, regardless of the amount.

As part of the longstanding tradition, a victory over Lower Merion on November 1 in our 129th historic rivalry game would result in a half day of school on Monday, November 3. On that day, school would dismiss at 12:05 p.m. Breakfast would be available in the morning; however, lunch would not be served due to the early dismissal schedule.

Our PTO November newsletter is going to have a “tech tip of the month”... so hold on because the first one is a good one. We’ll be finding little gems to hopefully make your life easier which is in part our goal here at the PTO.

Secondly, a tidbit from the “Welcome New Radnor Families Hour” held last month. The question came up: “I heard no one uses lockers. Is this true? What do they do with their stuff?” The discussion culminated in the take-away for students and parents: “Lock it or lose it” in that if a student doesn’t want to risk their items being stolen, they should use a locker and lock up their belongings.

  • Every student is assigned a locker geographically based on the location of their homeroom.  If a student has declined a locker, they can still get one.  They should ask their homeroom teacher or swing by the front office.

  • Athletic lockers are also provided for athletes to store their equipment.

  • The PTO sells locks for $10.00 (at cost) should you wish to buy one – contact rhsptomail@gmail.com.

As always, thanks for reading and GO RADNOR!

Kind regards,

Angela Shen, President, RHS PTO
